To my dear blog,
I've missed you ever so much. With all the craziness going on I had really no time for myself.
Surprisingly, the only time I could find myself alone was when I got the flu.
I don't really know what flu it is, I just know its really sucking my sleep out of me.
I had so much to blog about in the last 3 months but time was always mis-managed.
So now as I try to fall asleep, a thought comes to my mind.
Do you notice how we've become such an impatient generation?
In the past, mail had to travel for weeks to arrive and no one would complain. Pictures had to be taken to professionals to be developed then collected to be seen. The internet needed to dial-up. To contact someone you'd have to ring them on a pager and wait patiently for an answer.
We now get frustrated if a message sent to a recipient on our blackberry messenger's reads R and no answer Is received for two minutes.
I am not complaining, as it has made every bit of our lives more convenient and efficient.
My only concern is what it does to our sense of patience.
If we teach ourselves to expect everything to be done in a jiffy, patience will eventually dissolve.
I sometimes wonder whether this is why youngsters nowadays have gone crazy?
The notion of patience and appreciation has disappeared all together.
Maybe sending postcards in normal mail builds up a little bit of subconscious patience that we all need at the end of the day ?
Just a thought that came to my mind.
I do need to get my sleep now, but I will make up for the last few months!
Thank you for letting me spill my thoughts :) xo
